I found this very powerful. You can't ignore the stats! As someone who works in marketing, social media is definitely going to be one of the quickest and easiest ways to monitor perceptions about brand. Ignore it at your peril!

The internet and social media have already become the greatest actor in the spread of ideas since the printing press. It has changed the way we speak, communicate, interact and even think. Of course many people will be resistant to this, due to our evolved instincts to not immediately embrace change.On the flip side, as a result of these advancements, we are so swamped in entertainment that we become apathetic to the real issues we should be concerned with. Aldous Huxley would be terrified. |
